Medical and Non-Medical Issues for Referred Cases to Everlast

Concerns were raised regarding gaps in follow-up for patients undergoing treatment at Everlast, where IPC experienced a lack of updates from both patients and Everlast. During a meeting on May 2, 2024, it was noted that six cases were approved for uninterrupted treatment at Everlast, with shared treatment plans and cost estimates. However, three days later, IPCD issued an email to halt treatments pending further approvals and updated medical reports, raising concerns about the negative impact of interruptions on patients.

It was clarified that while IPC approved completed sessions, additional sessions were conducted without IPC’s knowledge or approval. Some cases were reviewed by the Medical Board Committee (MBC), which decided to continue treatments, but monthly reports and images were requested to reassess approvals until insurance coverage issues were resolved by the Healthcare Payer Sector (HPS).
