A modern skin resurfacing facial approach that uses focused light. The treatment is well known as the “China Doll Peel” for its “porcelain doll-like finish” effect on the skin and the “Hollywood Peel” due to its popularity with top-notch celebrities.

• Avoid other resurfacing treatments for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
• It’s essential to avoid sun exposure or any other form of tanning prior to a Carbon Laser Peel treatment and use an SPF30+ sunscreen for 2 weeks.
• Avoid strong exfoliation or Vitamin A (Retinol) 3 days prior to treatment.

• Prepare your skin with specialized skin care products, recommended for at least two weeks prior to treatment.
• Remove any creams and makeup prior to treatment.
• You may feel a slight pricking or stinging. You must arrive 30 minutes prior to treatment time in order for the topical numbing cream to be applied and to take effect.

• Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 48 hours.
• No rubbing, scrubbing, picking, or scratching of the treated skin.
• Do not use any active skin care products for 24-48 hours post-treatment.
• Use a mild cleanser for the treated area. Strong soaps (cause dryness), perfumed soaps (cause irritation).
• Avoid exposure to the sun after the treatment. It might affect the results. If sun exposure is unavoidable, abuse to apply an effective sunscreen.
• Stay away from Sauna / Steam Baths until skin becomes normal.

FAQ

As each patient is different it is not possible to completely predict how many treatments you will need, but on average you may need four to six treatments to achieve ideal results anywhere from one week to two weeks apart.

After the treatment, a rejuvenated and fresh face is achieved. 2-3 weeks interval between treatments is recommended to allow collagen reproduction. Results will stay depending on the individual esp. with his/her sun exposure.

• No sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunless tanning cream for 4 weeks prior to treatment.
• Use broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher. Apply to the treated area every 2 hours when exposed to the sun and it is recommended to make this a part of your skincare routine.
• Remove all makeup, creams, or oils prior to treatment

• Erythema typically resolves in less than an hour but in some cases may linger for 24 hours.
• Frosting usually fades in 30 minutes. Warmth or heat sensation is expected and will last for about 1 hour.
• Unwanted pigment will continue to darken and may turn 2-3 shades darker than the original color and shed over time.
• Cleanse the treated area at least daily with water and mild soap, and then pat the area dry.
• Do not rub or scratch the treated area.

FAQ

Results can appear after just one treatment. However, final results are typically visible in 2-4 weeks. Some patients may require a series of treatments to achieve the desired outcome

Laser skin resurfacing is done with the goal of removing and replacing damaged skin with new skin layers using radiation from concentrated pulsed light. This treatment helps in reducing facial wrinkles and other skin irregularities like blemishes or acne marks and scars. Skin resurfacing may be done superficially or deeply.

Pre

Zovirax: Take as directed. Begin 2 days before surgery and complete all medication. Keflex/Antibiotic: Take as directed. Begin 2 days before surgery and complete all medication. Pain Medication: Take as directed as needed for pain. You are advised to take your pain medication for at least the first 48 hours.

Preoperative Skin Treatment:

• Glycolic Acid Facial Cleanser: Use twice daily, in the morning and at night.

• Conditioning Gel: Use in the morning and at night under moisturizer beginning two (2) weeks prior to surgery.

• Face Cream: Use twice daily, in the morning and at night

post

• Do not pick or rub to remove dead skin or scabs, as this may increase the risk of scarring. Any scabs should be gently soaked off.

• Do not apply Neosporin or any other ointment, including Vitamin E, to the face. This could increase the risk of infection.

• Do not expose the skin directly to the sun for 2-3 months. It is very important to keep the area protected from the sun for the next several months to avoid changes in skin pigmentation and to minimize redness. For 3-4 weeks after surgery, a sunblock containing zinc oxide should be applied.

• If the skin around the mouth is tight, you may use a straw for drinking.

• Avoid strenuous exercise for two (2) weeks to avoid irritating the skin.

• Avoid drafts, fans, or air conditioners, as air blowing on treated areas may cause stinging and dryness.

FAQ

Results are seen right after the treatment but more significant ones can be expected to show in the coming weeks to 6 months.

When skin is properly taken care of, results may be permanent without the need of retreatment.
